Jane spoke on Matthew 19:16-30 continuing a short theme on lostness. How possessions and wealth can pull us down using the exchange between Jesus and the rich young ruler. Using the line from Stevie Smith’s poem “I was much further out than you thought. And not waving but drowning.” as a metaphor for our embrace of materialism.
