Geoff spoke to the high priestly prayer of Jesus recorded in John 17 focusing on v20-26 and particularly v21. It continues the series as the third of 5 Be’s. This time looking at “ Be One “ exploring where unity is not a by-product of faithful living but integral to God’s purposes of mission and service “ in order that the world may know that you sent me and that you love them as you love me.”

Jane spoke to “ Reaching out to be fully human in community " from the parable found in Luke 14:15-24. Using the two greatest laws for human community ( love for God and love of neighbour) and seeing how when they are valued means seeking God’s agenda that embraces and includes those around us.

“In the beginning… God” God as creator includes we ourselves being made in the image of God- yet this has got blurred. Jesus as the first born of many enables us to reach out to discover how to be fully human. Rebecca Suknenko was the speaker using a variety of passages from the New Testament.
