Jane Thorington-Hassell, Pastor of VPBC, spoke on "Making a home together" as part of this months focus "called to community". This continues our series on discipleship. The reading was from John 14:1-6,18,23 to 26 looking at the form and nature of Gods' promises of abiding and dwelling.

VPBC Associate Minister Georgina Stride continued our series on discipleship looking at "called to be community and family - from the inside out." The talk examines how living by biblical principles for community will release God's promises that have been given to us for our personal lives as well as our community.

Jane Thorington-Hassell continued in our series on discipleship in exploring the call to be part of community from Galatians 3 26-28. This included the vision and value behind the embracing of the importance of “associating“ within a whole range and scope of the wider Body of Christ as well as finding new depth and commitment at the local level.

Paul Martin of the London Baptist Association spoke from John 15 looking at the " I am the vine “ saying of Jesus. He explained the context and setting of this and how it therefore informs our understanding as to our relationship to him when Jesus spoke about “ you are the branches. “The talk was part of the LBA road show seeking to explain and encourage debate around the draft strategy of the LBA for the next five years.
