Geoff spoke to 1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1 in the last of a five part series this time looking at “Be Like Jesus”. The talk looked at the challenge of the complex and expanding multi-cultural nature of London and the way the Olympics was simply an intense burst of the global village that was already here which is larger and more diverse in its scope than the Games themselves. It began to explore what loyal and faithful living might require of us.

Jane spoke to Matthew 5:1-12 from the Sermon on the Mount and focused on verse 9. The talk looks at reaching out through peace for “those who work for peace ..shall be called sons of God.” How we become peacemakers (through the ministry of reconciliation Paul describes in 2 Corinthians 5:17,18) which is now part of the DNA as Christian believers to be ready and equipped ( Ephesians 6:15) with the good news of peace.
