Jane Thorington-Hassell, pastor of VPBC (www.vpbc.org.uk) ,continues the theme for this year looking at Christian discipleship. This sermon is number two of the second of 12 steps. This second step is " called to serve. " The talk looks at what it means to be in "active service." It is based around the teaching of Jesus found in Matthew 21 versus 28 to 32.

Georgina Stride, our future Associate Minister at VPBC, spoke about the cost of discipleship from Luke 14 verses 25-35 as part of a year long focus in 2009 looking at Discipleship. Each month has a particular focus which adds up to 12 steps. For February the focus is " called to serve."
