Georgina spoke on the lessons in re building the walls from Nehemiah in the BOB series. The talk looks at the place of evaluation, rebuilding and perseverance in our lives and the nature of prayer.

Jane began the series for the year 2010 looking at Building, Outreach, Belonging (BOB). Unsurprisingly Christ as the only the Foundation, 1 Cor 3:9-11 became the starting point and developing on from the 12 steps in following Jesus from the previous year.

Jane Thorington-Hassell continued our series on being called to Hope around the promise of Jesus “ I am making everything new” (Rev 21:5). The resurrection and a new creation is more than life after death. Our hope is built not on what might happen but what God has promised.

6th December 2009

First in our series on hope Jane ( Senior Pastor) looked at John 11:17-44 focusing on Jesus as the resurrection and the life and the Christian teaching based on this.

Rebecca Suknenko looked at how God qualifies us into being called to the world as a light to the Gentiles ( i.e. us). This was through the acronym of CBT. C ( Chosen, Called, Cherished), B (Beautiful, Broken, Blessed) and T ( Transformed, Tested (En) Trusted).

Associate Pastor Georgina Stride looked at the background and implications of the parable of Jesus in Matthew 13:31-32 of the mustard seed and the kingdom of God. Then high lighted what the signs are of being a “ Mustard “ type person.
